my name is Brian M. This past Friday, showed short documentary to my Bible class of three boys and one girl. Overall they loved it and left apart of the movie with them. They didn’t understand why all this started by a plate of food. But if that never happened we would not have met Innocente and her dreams would not have begun to take shape. Can’t wait to see her art show in NYC

Inocente is an inspiring film and has become one of my favorite films. Over the past year, I have worked with underprivileged youth. While these children were not homeless, I believe that many of them could relate to Inocente because of their love of art. Like Inocente, the children that I worked with had troubles in their lives and used art as a form of finding peace. The art supplies we provided them with helped each of them express themselves in their own unique way. It made me smile knowing that programs like A.R.T.S are out there providing resources for amazing young minds, like Inocente. Many times, underprivileged youth are blamed for the situation in which they find themselves in. After working with them, I know this is not the case. These young minds have talent to contribute to our world and are deserving of the right to do so. In order to do so it will take powerful and moving messages. It will take stories like Inocente to get people to become aware of the problems.

This really made me appreciate what I have even though our lives are similar. Her life and bravery to keep smiling inspires me to live life at full color.
