Section 28 which would have allowed schools to collect the immigration status of student has been thrown out. Section 12(a), and 18 which promotes racial profiling still stand.

Terrible news coming out of Alabama. Governor Robert Bentley has signed that harshest anti-immigrant law of the country - yes even more so than Arizona's SB 1070.

Builders in Alabama are complaining they can’t find replacement workers and delays in projects are expected. I could have sworn anti-immigration law makers were saying “American people” would be lined up for these jobs.
