It's said over and over again: "immigrants are a burden to the tax-payer," "immigrants are leeches," "we can't afford immigration reform." Recently, the Heritage Foundation has had the most colorful attempt to convey this message when it published an alarmist (and racist) study on immigration. But these claims are just plain wrong.
