I worked for Walmart in 2006, and again in 2008. Walmart Stores needs to be unionized, with workers having collective bargaining rights, period. Otherwise, bad things will continue to happen to workers, as they are happening right now and ongoing, despite the so-called “open door policy” which is worthless. To get hired, you have to sign a piece of paper saying you do not want health insurance. Imagine that. Walmart business practices are egregious, and they all emanate from the corporate headquarters, despite public relations and legal representations otherwise.
