How candidates are claiming to be – in their own words “pro Hispanic” – by being slightly less anti-immigrant than the next guy. As long as those immigrants are fleeing the island of Cuba it is all “A” okay. The latest exchange between primary candidates has Newt Gingrich accusing Mitt Romney for being anti-immigrant because Romney “uses” Castro phrases, while he himself supports the number one issue for Latinos in all of the U.S.: Cuban dissent?

In what could represent a major victory for internet rights – President Obama announced that they would not support SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) legislation. The bill, promoted by the large media conglomerates and the entertainment industry, would have allowed corporations to shut down domains and sites they deemed violated piracy provisions, 5 years in prison for individuals who would post a link to what they deemed unfair.###
