Don’t let anti-immigrant rhetoric drive the immigration debate. Nativist, racist and fear-mongering hate groups are working hard to drive their narrative on immigration. For years now, anti-immigrant groups have successfully infused their message into the national immigration debate. Influencing local politicians and national figures - with the same talking points: "More punishment", "Militarize the border", "Massive deportations", "More Enforcement." This has resulted in dangerous policies that have led to flagrant violation of human rights.
It is time we put basic immigrant, human rights back in the forefront of our national values and priorities! Let Congress and the President know that to reform immigration they must prioritize "Immigrant rights before enforcement."Add your name and message - make sure your voice is heard!

Every single one of us came here from somewhere else, and most of us were initially discriminated against, either for their country of origin or their religion. The racists, haters and fear mongers among us make me sick. -

Luckily for me because I had people who cared and saw what other do not see or close their mind too, I had the opportunity to go to college and earn a degree. It is not the race , the color, religion, ethnicity, place of origin to determine what future of the person. It is the inherent obstacles that are present for that group of people . I now work medical diagnostics helping people and I’m not doing it to help my “gente” as it would be assumed by people promoting the racist agenda. I do it for everyone. I’m don’t want to put myself in a pedestal nor to be admired for what I have made of my life. The truth is that kids in poor areas have very few choices in life unsafe neighborhoods, parks, no YMCA’ s, both parents working ( very low pay). To politicians and our detrimental capitalist system this pays the bills, their political campaigns, their investments, their decisions what they agree and disagree has all come down to how much money can be made. More money can be made by forcing kids into the prison industrial complex revolving door than can be made by integrating social enriching programs. This kills two birds with one stone fulfill the racist agenda and promotes the idea our kids in one way or another becomes a criminal. -
