It is shameful that a country formed by immigrants treats its recent immigrants with such cruelty and disrespect. Immigrants have always been and will always be an integral part of making America a great place to live and work.

Immigrants rights before enfofocement

Those who risk life and limb to get to this land are the best hope for our future. Their path to citizenship must be our most important task! We must work to bring those among us who do not understand this into the fold. Together we can forge ahead to a brave new world that provides a level playing field for all who desire a place at the table.

Enough! This malicious misinformation must be countered before these mean-spirited and misinformed individuals do any more harm. Spread the truth that immigrants — irrespective of status — are valuable contributors to American society and add to the richness of our history and culture.

I think it is Wrong what these groups are doing. Every one in this country are Immigrants. Only the American Indian is a True American.

Maybe those frightened old white people should pick their own crops to really show their patriotism. Good for arthritis, too.

These white folks speaking in the videos you’ve shown me in your email message are hateful bigots who are out of touch with society. The messages they spew couldn’t be further from the truth about what our immigrant population contributes to our society here in the United States. I am a teacher and my students are all children of productive, educated immigrants. These students are in college, or the lower grades with plans to go to college. What needs to happen is a movement in this country to send the white bigots back to their ancestors’ countries of origin. Then we’d have our democratic country where people of all ethnic backgrounds are working hard and respecting each other’s diversity. I’m sick of these old, pastey white guys/gals making all the laws that do nothing but set us back 150 years; hurt families and give the United States a bad reputation in the world. What is wrong with us? The nastiness has to stop!!!

It is amazing to me that we call ourselve a christian country that has become very unsympathetic to natural United States Citizens that was born in our country. The 1950 is over and it is time for us to move on and make our country proud to accept imigrants.

Publicly letting it be known that my husband and myself have had only positive encounters with immigrants from Mexico, Costa Rica, Afghanistan, Jordan, India, and other countries. Immigrants enrich our lives and we, by the way, are “white” senior Americans.

Ignorance and intolerance are ugly. As someone has already noted, at some point every single person in the country is, was, or is descended from an immigrant. Bigotry doesn’t make you superior.

Latino immigrants are part of our economy, part of our culture, and part of our future. They are also us.
