Phoenix PD officer voices disapproval of SB 1070

By the Associated Press

PHOENIX (AP) A Phoenix police officer is using a video on the Internet to voice his opposition to Arizona’s immigration enforcement law.

Twenty-year Phoenix police Officer Paul Dobson says the law, that’s scheduled to take effect next Thursday, will make him “feel like a Nazi” out there.

In a three-minute video clip posted on a nonprofit group’s Facebook account, Dobson says he has a great deal of contempt for Senate Bill 1070.

According to the police department, Dobson’s participation in the video prompted an internal investigation that may result in a written reprimand or minor form of discipline for granting the online interview without supervisor approval.

The case is pending a final review.
