Dear Congresswoman Schultz, I have seen you many times speak to various issues and have basically agreed with your positions and policies. Unfortunately, it looks like, this time, you made a mistake. You and Senator Nelson certainly can be forgiven for making an error. I ask that you change your position. Detention centers are not the way to deal with Immigrants, documented or undocumented. We have become deportation crazy and it has to stop. We are breaking up families— and sending people away who have been in this country for sometimes as much as 30 years. Let us develop a sensible immigration policy— one that is humane and understanding.
