Debbie, I have nothing but the highest degree of admiration for you and your work for the Democratic Party, but this is a bad decision. I have a deep mistrust for private agencies taking over government responsibilities. The prospect for misdoings is too high, and the prospect for politicians to benefit from these corporations is too great. These corporations take on a life of their own to stay in business. We need to pass the DREAM Act and change immigration policy – not to set up another non-government agency which turns out to be a money pit and carries out policies against the basic need of families staying together. I know in Massachusetts nursing mothers and babies were separated and toddlers separated from their parents not knowing how to find each other.
