…Please, please do not open the door to privatizing Florida’s prisons…this for-profit scheme of Rick Scott’s to turn the state’s big prisons over to CCA and/or other private prison operators now is underway with consolidation of prisoners in the larger facilities…when complete I believe Scott and his henchmen will begin selling the prisons – campuses and inmates alike – to highest bidders…this amounts to nothing less than selling captive human beings for profit…shades of 1840 in the South…

…Scott has shown himself repeatedly to be an individual devoid of standards, ethics, integrity…our best hope of saving the State of Florida – my native state – from the destruction he seeks to lay on us is to get rid of him and his ilk with which he has populated the administration in the next election…

,,,Meanwhile, we depend on elected representatives such as you to hold the line against the bad judgment, greed and corruption…and keeping the state’s prison under a cleaned-out DOC is a great addition to the effort…you stop the privatization garbage and we’ll clean the garbage out of DOC…
