FYI: I don’t have a “dog in this fight”, I’m a retired “wasp” who believes in the bigger picture and a very inclusive society. I fear that if the country fails on this that we will no longer be a true democracy.

Private Prisons like CCA are not good for citizens. With all the new police state laws, including the recent SCOTUS ruling that strip searches are now legal, regardless of charge, we certainly don’t need or want an untrained prison guard with no / limited background check to be in charge of anything relative to body searches.

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.
