Edwin Harrison signed Side With Justice Over Racism! 2012-04-25 17:56:24 -0700I have a story of my own. An 23 yr old individual came into my office wanting help to start a business. He needs the extra money to help raise his brothers and sisters. His 39 yr old father died in Mexico in December after being deported by ICE. He was deported because he was seriously injured at his place of work and the former employer found it easier to have him deported than be responsible for the injuries he received on the job. They suddenly found out he had been working in our country illegally for at least 20 years. Appearently, as long as he did not get hurt on the job they did not care.
Side With Justice Over Racism!
The United States Supreme Court is hearing arguments in Arizona v. United States, the Obama administration’s challenge to Arizona’s anti-immigration law, SB1070. What they won't be hearing is what and who has fueled this discriminatory legislation.
Will justice triumph over racial profiling and discrimination fueled by supremacist and nativist fringe groups? We need to stand together in this most pressing time.
