I have a story of my own. An 23 yr old individual came into my office wanting help to start a business. He needs the extra money to help raise his brothers and sisters. His 39 yr old father died in Mexico in December after being deported by ICE. He was deported because he was seriously injured at his place of work and the former employer found it easier to have him deported than be responsible for the injuries he received on the job. They suddenly found out he had been working in our country illegally for at least 20 years. Appearently, as long as he did not get hurt on the job they did not care.

As a nation we can no longer afford to continue to hate. We must work together and cooperate with all, new comers and old establish families alike. If we treat each other with respect and dignity we will all do better.

United we stand, devided we fall.

First the illegal immigrants. Then who? And how do we tell them apart from “legals” without impinging on the personal lives of citizens?
