Prisons should be public facilities with high standards, and be used for locking up violent criminals and child molestors for the rest of their sorry lives with NO chance of parole!! The private industry is more likely to keep people locked up who are not violent criminals, such as those possessing a drug. Those people with a drug should be sent to a hospital for rehabilitation, rather than a jail. It’s cheaper, and saves the jail space for the REAL dangerous criminals!

Why is FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz siding with the Corrections Corporation of America and not her constituents in Southwest Ranches? 98% of her constituents DO NOT want a new for-profit immigrant detention center!

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.
