SF Gate: Latino group releases ‘more accurate’ version of Dodge farmer ad

 via SF Gate

After seeing Dodge Ram’s popular “God Made a Farmer” commercial during the Super Bowl, members of one Latino rights group were dismayed at the limited portrayal of minorities in the photo montage that accompanied radio broadcaster Paul Harvey’s speech.

So, the nonprofit Cuentame teamed up with another group, Latino Rebels, to make its own version of the ad, the Huffington Post reports.

Cuentame posted on its Facebook page: “Did you guys catch the Superbowl ad on farmers? We thought it might have been a lil outdated so we decided to fix it.”

“One of the problems we had was that this hard work and hard labor that’s shown in the ad, is that really exclusive to the folks that that they pictured in the ad?” Cuentame founder Axel Caballero told the Huffington Post. “That’s not the reality that we see on the ground and so we wanted to make a point of that.”
