The days of publicly espousing racist beliefs without social consequences have ended. Now if our legislators would only realize that they are delusionally and fruitlessly trying to continue to live in the even more racist past, we’d all be better off. Hopefully this will serve as a wake up call for the futility of their stances and they will change their hateful ways. If not, I rest assured that they are inevitably bringing their own political careers to an end by not speaking with respect for and acting in the best interest of all people.
