Excellent news! It would be nice to see this conversation spread to commercialized detention in general. There is a fundamental flaw when profit is generated off of bad behavior. This perpetuates a system that does not help people recover from typically tragic circumstances because helping people find alternatives to detainable behavior is tantamount to less profit. If we ever want our criminal system to have a positive impact on society it will only come when we have the honest opportunity to reform it for the better of society, not some corporations pockets.
