The United States Supreme Court is hearing arguments in Arizona v. United States, the Obama administration’s challenge to Arizona’s anti-immigration law, SB1070. What they won't be hearing is what and who has fueled this discriminatory legislation.

Will justice triumph over racial profiling and discrimination fueled by supremacist and nativist fringe groups? We need to stand together in this most pressing time.

We need to show that together we reject this hate agenda.

I am fully in agreemen that we have to go after hate groups such as this one. But we also have to go against ethnocentric, racist, separatist groups in the Black, Latino (and this includes indigenocentric Latino movements like the Mechica movement) and other ethnic hate groups.

Aside from true Native Americans, is there anyone in the United States who doesn’t have immigrant ancestors? Telling all immigrants to go back where they came from is ridiculous. Skin color doesn’t determine one’s value as a human being. I would much rather deport the biggots.

I learned in kindergarten that picking on people because they are not white is wrong. I feel ashamed when I hear about things like this. We are all God’s children.

In order not to discriminate, the police should be required to “demand the papers of citizenship proof” from everyone that is stopped (sarcasm). That will be fair. I wonder how long people would stand for that?

america is made up entirely of immigrants, except for the native americans (referred to then as “indians”, “redskins”, and other, worse names). the “european americans” got to be that by coming here and taking this country away from those who were already here. now they want to keep it for themselves, and are still practicing that old “we’re better than you” attitude that has been part of their culture since the beginning of what we now call “america”.

I am a 70 year old black man. I have experienced racism of various levels all of my life. It is time that people of all races band together and run the racists “out of town on a rail” After all, they hate the president because he is 1/2 black.
