Why is FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz siding with the Corrections Corporation of America and not her constituents in Southwest Ranches? 98% of her constituents DO NOT want a new for-profit immigrant detention center!

IMMIGRANTS ARE NOT FOR SALE

We call on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-20) to WITHDRAW her current endorsements for CCA’s project.

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.

It is time for ICE to stop the immigrant money making machine and tell CCA to GO AWAY from Southwest Ranches.

    The US is becoming a Prison State with more people in prisons than any other country in the world. Our prisons make money off the agony of our imprisoned, many who simply were poor. And now you want to also imprison people from other countries?!?

    We don’t need this here. There are schools nearby. Why would they not build this out in a less populated area or expand the Krome facility? This is bad news for all homeowners and parents in this area

    We live in the area and we don’t want the ICE Center. They can go to remote areas like Florida City & Everglades City like originally planned. Or they can expand the Krome Ave facility to house more inmates. This is insane.
