There is no place for private prisons in the United States of America. The very existence of private, for profit, prison corporations is antithentical to, and irreconcilable with, liberty and due process. You should oppose private prisons in your district, and everywhere else in the World.

Only thing to say is “NO” to CCA. A corporation that builds detention centers for immigrants and then get paid to place them is idiotic.

I really would like to hear from Congresswoman Schultz, for whom I have historically had great respect and to whom I have contributed in the last several election cycles, why she supports this new prison. It strikes me as not a good use of tax payer funds. We don’t need any more prisons in the USA — not for immigrants or anyone else. We have too many prisons already. A “for-profit” prison is even more morally repugnant. Incarcerating anyone for profit, immigrant or otherwise, is totally unacceptable and is one reason why the prison guard unions have become so strong that incarceration rates go up to keep profits flowing.

I’m ashamed that the head of the DNC is supporting private prisons at all, much more ashamed that she is going against her own consituents.

This is the sort of reasons why I no longer consider myself a Democrat. “Leaders” feeding from both sides of the trough.

If immigrants do not meet the standards to be in America they should be sent back not housed in America at tax payer expense in for profit prisons.

I urge you to say NO to CCA!
