Debbie: Say No To CCA!

Why is FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz siding with the Corrections Corporation of America and not her constituents in Southwest Ranches? 98% of her constituents DO NOT want a new for-profit immigrant detention center!

IMMIGRANTS ARE NOT FOR SALE

We call on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-20) to WITHDRAW her current endorsements for CCA’s project.

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.

It is time for ICE to stop the immigrant money making machine and tell CCA to GO AWAY from Southwest Ranches.

Listen to your district’s many voices that urge you to say no to private prisons for profit.

There is no rationale reason to move forward on this issue.

There are many financial gain reason$ to do so which will

be shared by legislatures and corporations. Back room

campaign deals are guaranteed when decisions made completely

disregard the wishes of their constituents. More corruption in

    Florida politics!

Debbie, don’t act like a repub, listen to your people. For profit is a horrible thing as they get away with abuse and too much money!

How Republican!! If you wish to move to that side of the aisle, why don’t you do it openly instead of running on a Progressive platform just to get the seat? Aren’t your actions a little disengenuous. Prograssives everywher want to know.

I am very disappointed in you Debbie; I really thought you were

different and that we could depend on you to see through to the

big picture. Please reconsider your thinking on this issue. Private

holdings and private prisons are a very scary proposition and should be regulated by the federal government. Corporations have

too much power and will destroy our democracy piece by piece if

legislators like you don’t stand up to them and for what is right for

    all people.

I can’t begin to tell you how sorry I am you are taking this stance!

When you have private prisons, you have pressure to keep them filled. We have some ugly examples in Texas

I am against all prison privatization. It is part of the 1% plan. and morever, we should not imprison human beings for profit.
