Debbie: Say No To CCA!

Why is FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz siding with the Corrections Corporation of America and not her constituents in Southwest Ranches? 98% of her constituents DO NOT want a new for-profit immigrant detention center!

IMMIGRANTS ARE NOT FOR SALE

We call on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-20) to WITHDRAW her current endorsements for CCA’s project.

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.

It is time for ICE to stop the immigrant money making machine and tell CCA to GO AWAY from Southwest Ranches.

THIS PETITION IS NOW CLOSED - WE REACHED OUR GOAL!!! But feel free to leave your comment!

CCA, a system more corrupt than all the inmates combined. Time to clean house.

When corporations stand to profit from keeping prisoners, they will be motivated to take and keep more prisoners.

surely you are not so ill-informed that you are not aware of the terrible abuses, beatings and torture going on in these immigration detention centers. America already incarcerates a higher percentage of the population than almost any other country in the world. privately run prisons have no incentive to let people go. isn’t this like concentration camps in fact? you must be such a wonderful person to want to serve in office, please listen to your conscience on this one and keep your reputation clean.

It has become very well known that Corporate Prisons are not viable. They are costly and do not provide adequate care and treatment. Running a prison is a difficult business and should not be in the hands of those who wish to make a profit. Keep CCA away from Southwest Ranches.
