We were very surprised and disappointed to hear about Rep. Wasserman-Schultz supporting this extremely terrible corporation. CCA is a very dangerous company that has bankrupted some small towns with promises of great profits. Then, after getting a detention facility built, grabbing their money in the process, the centers sit empty and so do the coffers of the town. Beside the greed factor, these centers violate the civil rights of people trying to escape the countries that the U.S. has helped destroy with NAFTA, corporate plundering, environmental destruction, and so on.

For-profit prisons are an abomination. I’m shocked that Bill Nelson and Debbie Wasserman Schultz are supporting this shameful plan.

Please rescind your support.

Stopped using Public Monies to make private individuals and companies wealthier then they already are, stop bleeding the public sector for the benefit of the 1%.

I cannot believe you would do this. This corporation is making its money on the backs of all of us, because our tax dollars are paying for what they are doing. I am a long time, contributing member of the Democratic party and am shocked that you would support the abuse that is the corporate style of the company. You are representing all of us as Chairperson of the DNC. Act like it.
