Debbie: Say No To CCA!

Why is FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz siding with the Corrections Corporation of America and not her constituents in Southwest Ranches? 98% of her constituents DO NOT want a new for-profit immigrant detention center!

IMMIGRANTS ARE NOT FOR SALE

We call on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-20) to WITHDRAW her current endorsements for CCA’s project.

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.

It is time for ICE to stop the immigrant money making machine and tell CCA to GO AWAY from Southwest Ranches.

THIS PETITION IS NOW CLOSED - WE REACHED OUR GOAL!!! But feel free to leave your comment!

I was disgusted and horrified when I saw what the devious plan that CCA devised to cheat Human Beings the right to be treated as such and to make a mockery of our government, all for the sake of profit.

Incarceration for profit is a heinous idea. Profit will win over justice every time. How about reforming byzantine INS forms and procedures so that it is possible to fill them out and comply without thousands of dollars in filing fees and the assistance of a lawyer instead of jailing folks indefinitely for not being able to cut through all the red tape?

Private business has proven to be the most corrupt form of enterprise. Business is driven by greed and greed leads to corruption. No more privatization of anything, enough is enough.

Private prisons for profit are anathema to freedom and fairness; they have no business in a civilized society.

I see the corporate Democrats continue to side with their overlords “Corporate America”. You won’t be able to build enough prisons to incarcerate the 99%!

How did the DNC keep this under the radar? Debbie, you know Democrats do not support this. What other privatization efforts are you going to support? If you go along with this, the next thing we know you’ll be joining forces with AZ and their governor. No endorsement of the CCA’s project. Don’t fall into this trap.
