Why is FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz siding with the Corrections Corporation of America and not her constituents in Southwest Ranches? 98% of her constituents DO NOT want a new for-profit immigrant detention center!

IMMIGRANTS ARE NOT FOR SALE

We call on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-20) to WITHDRAW her current endorsements for CCA’s project.

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.

It is time for ICE to stop the immigrant money making machine and tell CCA to GO AWAY from Southwest Ranches.

    I think that privatizing our criminal justice system is morally reprehensible. No one should make a profit from this. We can’t hand off our responsibility to those who have fallen to our justice system. We held them to our standards; I demand we hold ourselves to those same standards. Supporting CCA is wrong on so many levels. Please, stop supporting the sale of our prisoners.

    The Democrats should be standing WITH us, not AGAINST us on issues like this. And if we can’t even count on the Democratic leadership to lead, are we supposed to rely on the Republicans?     Prisons-for-profit are immoral and should be outlawed. They provide motivation for more people to be arrested and jailed, innocent or not. Even minor, victimless crimes, that most of us are guilty of at one time in our lives, become a source of income for greedy corporations, the politicians and bureaucrats they have bribed, and all those who work for and feed the private-prison monster. They are anti-Constitution and anti-American. They are a tool for those who support the New World Order (i.e. fascist totalitarianism)

    Dont compete with Jan Schultz in AZ for having the most private prisons in the Southwest…..or US for that matter. Why are private prisons so attractive? Many on her staff held personal ownership in these prisons before she went on a tear to fill them up with “illegals by coming up with the ‘papers please’” policy. Remember, if you build them, they will come. We only have AZ to look at to see how that manifested.
