Why is FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz siding with the Corrections Corporation of America and not her constituents in Southwest Ranches? 98% of her constituents DO NOT want a new for-profit immigrant detention center!

We call on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-20) to WITHDRAW her current endorsements for CCA’s project.

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.

It is time for ICE to stop the immigrant money making machine and tell CCA to GO AWAY from Southwest Ranches.

    Too many Judges and attorneys have been successfully bribed and prey on our American youth, poor and immigrants. We have already seen that privatizing these kinds of institutions has brought on more corruption in our judicial system, takes away freedom for petty crimes and extends and keeps prisoners imprisoned for longer periods of time because the longer a prisoner stays, the more profit the corporation/judges makes.

    Our food is full of toxins and junk as it is. We DON’T need any more contaminants. I know what privatization has done to many facilities such as nursing homes; the CEOs bend the rules as much as possible. Why would privatizing poultry processing plants be an exception. It would be a “fowl” situation.
