I am a consistent Democratic supporter and oppose the Corrections Corporation of America—in this instance and on principle. Prisons should not be profit-centers for private corporations. Period.

These for profit prison corporations only have one objective. That is the bottom line of profit based on number of prisoners that are housed in their prisons. Florida does not want to be a biggoted police state like Arizona. Although with the Republicans in charge and the self defense law that allows vigilante murdering of innocent people, it already is. These for profit prisons are not about rehabilitation but about making money on the number of bodies they house. This country houses more people at a huge expense to the tax payer then the russian communists did during the worst part of the Gulag.

Our country is slipping off into the deep end of corporate greed, government collusion and corruption, and degradation of the human spirit and of Earth’s life systems. This has got to stop. I thought Ms. Wasserman-Schultz was better than this.

What’s the matter with you, Debbie? Don’t pull a Wyden on us and back the 1% because you’re getting some sort of gain from it…Don’t do it, girlfriend.

I am a big supporter of you but these kinds of facilities are anti life, anti American and anti human so please end your support of this facility and let’s end the incarceration of human beings by our government.
