Debbie: Say No To CCA!

Why is FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz siding with the Corrections Corporation of America and not her constituents in Southwest Ranches? 98% of her constituents DO NOT want a new for-profit immigrant detention center!

IMMIGRANTS ARE NOT FOR SALE

We call on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-20) to WITHDRAW her current endorsements for CCA’s project.

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.

It is time for ICE to stop the immigrant money making machine and tell CCA to GO AWAY from Southwest Ranches.

THIS PETITION IS NOW CLOSED - WE REACHED OUR GOAL!!! But feel free to leave your comment!

Just another democrat in name only, on the take. What more would one expect from the chairman of the DNC?

Debbie, you have the chance to make a real difference in immigration policy here. Instead of supporting a company that makes enormous profits on pumping up the numbers of detainees while creating untold misery upon those affected, you have a chance to support the vast majority of your constituents on this matter. Those constituents will not let this matter rest. I really believe that your decision on this issue could well make or break you political career. Please do the right thing and look closely at the motives of CCA. I think you will agree that there is a grave injustice being served here. It is downright immoral to take advantage of the paranoia regarding terrorists and lock away people who are simply seeking a better life in America. There must be a clear distinction of who the bad guys are here and it is very clear from my viewpoint that CCA are the villans. Thank you for taking the time to consider my opinion.

Stop CCA from building a big prison in your area. Build a park instead. Prison reform does not begin in the electric chair, it begins in the high-chair. Think about what you do before you do it.
