Debbie: Say No To CCA!

Why is FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz siding with the Corrections Corporation of America and not her constituents in Southwest Ranches? 98% of her constituents DO NOT want a new for-profit immigrant detention center!

IMMIGRANTS ARE NOT FOR SALE

We call on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-20) to WITHDRAW her current endorsements for CCA’s project.

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.

It is time for ICE to stop the immigrant money making machine and tell CCA to GO AWAY from Southwest Ranches.

THIS PETITION IS NOW CLOSED - WE REACHED OUR GOAL!!! But feel free to leave your comment!

The private, for-profit prison industry is bad for America. And even if they came here illegally, these immigrants are human beings who deserve more respect. We have more important issues to spend our money on than pursuing law-abiding, taxpaying workers.

Perhaps she gets funding for her election campaign or promises of money or a seat on the board at retirement ? maybe she has shares in the CCA corporation ? Does anyone really think elected officials actually represent the majority of citizen voters ?

DWS, this is unbelievable. How can you get into bed with Pink Slip Rick and the people who would imprison others for profit. First the people this would imprison do not belong in prison. Either deport them or leave them be. Second, it is immoral to make a profit off the suffering of other human beings. Morally it is touching upon slavery. I cannot believe that you would support this idea. It is so against your character and the political persona you have worked so hard to build and maintain.

DWS thinks is a good idea to have ex-convicts waiting deportation near schools and across the street from home in a quite a peaceful neighborhood. Obviously her constituents don’t matter as long as she gets money for the DNC.
