Why is FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz siding with the Corrections Corporation of America and not her constituents in Southwest Ranches? 98% of her constituents DO NOT want a new for-profit immigrant detention center!

IMMIGRANTS ARE NOT FOR SALE

We call on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-20) to WITHDRAW her current endorsements for CCA’s project.

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.

It is time for ICE to stop the immigrant money making machine and tell CCA to GO AWAY from Southwest Ranches.

    We can’t trust contractors of any kind. Government employees do a much better jobs. We don’t need any more for profit prisons, it’s just plain wrong.

    We live in the neighboring community (Pembroke Pines) and CCA is suing us because we don’t want to provide water to those jerks.

    DCCC is republican lite and servants of their Corporate Masters.

    Debbie, I have seen you many, many times defending your positions, which I support 90% of the time, that you represent your constituents. Well, a wide majority of the same DO NOT want this support of CCA. They cull the healthiest, safest prisoners, the ’cream" off the top and enroll them in their prisons. Your constituents have to pay for the other, more costly prisoners to be housed. Give me a break!.

    This is frightening and disgusting. CCA must be stopped. I understand national security, but harassing families who are looking for a better life is NOT about national security. It’s about racism. Unless you are 100% Native American, we are all immigrants or the children of immigrants. When will remember that immigration created this wonderful country….and adds to it rather than subtracting from it STILL.
