Why is FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz siding with the Corrections Corporation of America and not her constituents in Southwest Ranches? 98% of her constituents DO NOT want a new for-profit immigrant detention center!

IMMIGRANTS ARE NOT FOR SALE

We call on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-20) to WITHDRAW her current endorsements for CCA’s project.

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.

It is time for ICE to stop the immigrant money making machine and tell CCA to GO AWAY from Southwest Ranches.

    Debbie I am very disappointed on your decision to support CCA. You know what happens when big business runs things like this it becomes a business. This so easily prone to corruption and greed we’ll be putting more people in jail because the share holders bottom line is ALWAYS more profit. Please do not side with these people if you do I promise you I will lose total faith in you. You have always portrayed yourself as doing the right thing so do it!

    NO PRIVATE CORPORATE PRISONS - PERIOD!!! Prisons should be in the public sector, where there are no monetary incentives to incarcerate people. Not a deportation center – Not a state prison — Not a Federal Prison. Get private business out of prisons. PLEASE and now.
