This is about profit and I am surprise and amazed that you have agreed to this. What is the difference between both parties if your choice is this?

There is no place in America for privately operated prisons. That concept is an anathema to democracy and civil rights (Just look at Pennsylvania’s fiasco). I expect Republicans with their privatize at all costs to support this; I do not expect Democrats to do so and I am deeply disappointed to hear this your position, especially as the leader of the party. Every time I hear a story like this, it makes me less interested in voting for Democrats (not more likely to vote for Republicans, even though that may be the outcome). At least with Republicans you get what you vote for.

I have always had such respect for you, I am from Florida and lived there 30 years. How could you support this CCA project, especially when it goes against what the people want. This is the main reason I left Florida, lawmakers not doing as the residents and voters want and turning paradise into a corporate environmental disaster. Please don’t tell me you have sold out to the highest bidder too. I thought you were one of the good guys. Please do the right thing and help to end the corporate prison system and war on innocent immigrants. Make America a country I can be proud of again and Florida a state I could live in.

For-profit prisons of any type are one of the most terrible ideas. They should never exist, anywhere for any reason. And frankly, I’m shocked that you would support such a thing.

To endorse imprisonment by taking away a person’s freedom is DISGUSTING. Prisons shouldn’t even be privatized!

Immigrants make this country great, do not put them in for-profit jails. CCA is not to be trusted, they have obvious conflict of interest.
