Debbie: Say No To CCA!

Why is FL Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz siding with the Corrections Corporation of America and not her constituents in Southwest Ranches? 98% of her constituents DO NOT want a new for-profit immigrant detention center!

IMMIGRANTS ARE NOT FOR SALE

We call on Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-20) to WITHDRAW her current endorsements for CCA’s project.

The Obama Administration announced a change in the priorities for detentions and deportations, to focus on real national security concerns, not on separating parents from their children or deporting DREAMers who are only seeking a better future.

It is time for ICE to stop the immigrant money making machine and tell CCA to GO AWAY from Southwest Ranches.

THIS PETITION IS NOW CLOSED - WE REACHED OUR GOAL!!! But feel free to leave your comment!

This is so wrong. How could you, a Democrat, support the notoriously anti-union CCA corporation?

    Debbie,

Private Prisons like CCA are not good for citizens. With all the new police state laws, including the recent SCOTUS ruling that strip searches are now legal, regardless of charge, we certainly don’t need or want an untrained prison guard with no / limited background check to be in charge of anything relative to body searches.

Please say NO to CCA. My donation to DNCC will be based on your vote on this issue.

Debbie, These prisons are just part of the Drug War infrastructure. If you support ending the DRUG WAR then you would think differently about this. As a life time Demo/IND I won’t vote conservative .. BUT I WILL put my MONEY where it will end the DRUG WAR … Do not support this tool of the Drug War infrastructure. Do not support this prison.
